Air gap faucets differ from other similar faucets by having a total of three connections underneath them instead of one, which makes them easy to recognize.

This air gap faucet is designed for dispensing water while creating an actual gap in the waste water flow from a reverse osmosis system thereby adding a safety barrier feature to bacteria. Normally waste water is connected to one side of the taps ¼” barbed fitting and the other 3/8” barbed fitting is connected to a 3/8” Drain saddle. The third connection is your drinking water. This faucet conforms to Canadian and U.S. plumbing codes including meets California residents proposition 65, for air gap and no lead.
